While in China, I have been reading the English language daily newspaper. There was a great article on the Blooker Prize, created to recognize blogs that have award-winning content. The Blooker Prize was awarded to Julie Powell who now has published Julie and Julia, her blog describing cooking all of Julia Child's recipes within 365 days.
I thought it would be interesting to read the whole story which was found at boingboing.com but this blog site as well as Blogger is not available in China. Shame that I could read about it but NOT read the actual web log.
Lulu.com will publish your web log as a book. This is publishing at the grassroots level, giving a voice to anyone who can keep a web log. Cory Doctorow, author of Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom, among other publications that are available under a Creative Commons license has his hand in this venture.
