Should books with racist remarks be banned?
Should books that use racist remarks be banned from public libraries? What about from school libraries? Should they be banned from the school curriculum? Does your local public library or school library have a materials’ selection policy? Have you read it?

Books that use racist remarks should not be banned because banning such material would be an opression of reality. Our world is full of racism and I don't think that banning such material will help in any way but might actually make it worse/more popular in that people are naturally rebelliousand curious and will be drawn to what is being kept from them. If racism is banned from literature, it will only provide a market for underground propaganda et cetera.
