On a Lighter Note

While I don't like the idea of banning books, there are times when I think the world has had enought of particular words. Thanks to Nina Lee Braden and her web site for pointing to Lake Superior State University 2006 List of Banished Words and Bright Lights Film Journal's

My pet peeve word of the day is "empower." Words like "empower" set one's teeth on edge. What are your pet peeve words of the day?
